A gentle introduction to data integration in survey sampling

This article provides a systematic review of data integration techniques for combining a probability sample with a non-probability sample when the study variable is observed in the nonprobability sample only. We discuss a wide range of integration methods such as mass imputation, propensity score method, calibration weighting, and doubly robust estimation methods. Finally, we highlight important questions for future research.
