Underground Cable Fault Tracking by Ant Colony Optimization

摘要
This paper presents an evolutionary optimization technique to estimate the significant parameters such as amplitude, frequency, phase angle, and damping factor of the fault signals generated in an underground cable. For tracking of sending end current of underground cable, Ant Colony Optimization(ACO) technique is introduced. Several faults have been simulated to investigate the consistency of Ant Colony Optimization for tracking the signals. It reveals that Ant Colony Optimization is robust and can reliably estimate the fault signals and quicker tracking can be possible.
