Dracarys: High-fidelity Nuclear Well Logging Benchmark Problems with Experimental Results

This paper presents two nuclear well logging benchmark problems denoted as Dracarys (Development for Reservoir Analysis and Characterization using Activated neutron and gamma RAYs). These benchmark problems include Dracary-G: a gamma density tool, and Dracary-N: a compensated neutron porosity tool. Both are described in sufficient details that have been validated using experimental data so that any potential nuclear code user could reconstruct them for computational purposes. In this work, the two benchmark problems are calculated using Monte Carlo code Geant4 and results are compared to test pit measurement.
