P415. Characterizing Age Effects of Thalamic Nuclei Volumes Across the Lifespan

The thalamus is composed of multiple nuclei critical for cognitive, sensory and motor function. Abnormal thalamic morphology has been implicated in the pathophysiology of neurodevelopmental disorders, such as schizophrenia, and disorders of aging, including Alzheimer’s Disease. However, typical development of thalamic nuclei across the lifespan has not been adequately characterized, limiting our ability to interpret differences observed in these disorders.
