摘要
Background: Women at high risk of developing breast cancer due to mutations in susceptibility genes or a familial predisposition undergo adapted screening programs. However, the timing of screening is still an issue, amongst others due to the occurrence of interval cancers and because imaging is not possible during pregnancy and lactation. Therefore, the multicenter, longitudinal, prospective TESTBREAST study aims to identify a novel panel of blood-based protein biomarkers that enables early detection of breast cancer for high-risk women using liquid biopsies, to improve the current screening program.
