Two-way Passive Phased Array Antenna for Simultaneous Transmit and Receive Signals

This paper presents a low-cost and low-profile passive two-way phased array antenna (PAA), which can be used for simultaneous transmit and receive signals at two different frequencies. It consists of two linear interleaved patch array antenna, two power dividers, and two-way phase shifters as the beamforming network. The simulated results show that the proposed two-way PAA is capable of continuously steering the main beam directions from −30° to +30° in both receive and transmit paths, while its transmitted and received beams remain aligned.
