摘要
Impaired muscle fatigue resistance in chronic kidney disease (CKD)-related cachexia increases risks of reduced activity of daily living and increased mortality. Although it has been reported that energy metabolism plays an important role in muscle endurance, physiological characteristics in muscle fatigue resistance and changes in energy metabolism for each fast- and slow-twitch muscle in CKD-related cachexia remain unclear. CKD was induced by 5/6 nephrectomy (Nx) in male Wistar rats, and sham-operated rats served as controls (Sham).
