Analysis of Industry 4.0 Products in Small and Medium Enterprises

The implementation of ICTs in different functional areas of a company determines the transformation process towards Industry 4.0. The incorporation of technologies requires knowledge of the specific existing products and those that can be incorporated in a process of replacement and gradual integration between the Software, Hardware, and Infrastructure necessary for operation. However, is it possible to know the level of technological development of a particular industry? Is it possible to detect when a company is close to become an Industry 4.0? This article introduces the results of the application of the InTICs® Index, that measures the level of insertion of ICTs within an industry, in an industrial region of Argentina, where the level of technological development towards Industry 4.0 is evaluated.
