Catalytic oxygen atom transfer promoted by tethered Mo(VI) dioxido complexes onto silica-coated magnetic nanoparticles

•Three novel silylated acylpyrazolone containing ligands were successfully synthesized.•They were linked on SCMNPs and, after cis-MoO2 coordination, three final catalysts were obtained.•Physico-chemical characterization unravelled the features of these heterogeneous catalysts.•Olefins oxidation was performed on six olefins in organic and aqueous solvent.•The catalysts combine excellent performances with high stability and simple recyclability.
