Mesoporous materials as adsorbents for biologically active substances

A review, with 50 refs., of the use of mesoporous materials, differentiated in terms of chem. compn., structure, particle morphology and surface modification, in the processes of adsorption, enrichment and sepn. of biologically active components of mixts. The use of mesoporous SiO2 for the development of drug delivery systems was discussed.
