Organic Polymers Combining Boron Cluster and Triazine: An Ultra-efficient Adsorption Separator toward Cationic Dyes
CHEMNANOMAT(2022)
摘要
Although organic polymer/framework materials have demonstrated outstanding potential for application as dye scavenger in hydrology system, challenges on adsorption capacity limited their industrial utilization in the fields such as sewage treatment and environmental safety. Herein, we synthesized boron cluster organic polymers (BOPs) by grafting four triazine derivative molecules onto a boron cluster (B12H122-) in aqueous phase through an ion-exchange process. Remarkably, the resulting BOPs have a maximum adsorption capacity of 2053 mg g(-1) and 1033 mg g(-1), respectively, for rhodamine B (RB) and methylene blue (MB) from the aqueous phase. Even in RB/MB mixtures, BOPs exhibited a selective separation capacity via simply adjusting the pH values. The high stability, striking recyclability and excellent selectivity further indicated the promise of this adsorption separator for potential applications in dye removal and separation.
