摘要
•Afforestation of previously unforested land impacts grassland biodiversity.•We used camera traps to study the effects of different plantations on nest predation.•Common crow was the main predator predating ca. half of the artificial quail nests.•Nest predation risk and predator abundance was higher near eucalyptus plantations.•Slow-growing native trees (oak and pine) have lower impacts on grassland birds.
