Effect of Ionizing Radiation Parameters on the Properties of AgGaS2 Single Crystals

We report X-ray dosimetric characteristics of AgGaS2 single crystals grown by the Bridgman–Stockbarger method. The 298-K X-ray induced conductivity coefficient of the AgGaS2 crystals varies from 0.97 to 10.63 min/R at effective X-ray hardnesses in the range Va = 25–50 keV and X-ray dose rates in the range E = 0.75–78.05 R/min. The steady-state X-ray induced current through the AgGaS2 single crystals is a power law function of X-ray dose rate.
