Electrochemical 2,4-dichlorophenol sensor based on porous nanostructured ZnS/C nanocomposite derived from zeolite imidazole framework

Nanostructured ZnS/C was synthesized by a facile approach via calcination of Zn-based zeolite imidazole framework (ZIF-11) with adsorptive sublimed sulfur and was used to fabricate a modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) for detection of 2,4-dichlorophenol (2,4-DCP). The morphology, structure, and composition of this ZnS/C were characterized by PXRD, Raman spectra, SEM and TEM. The electrochemical performances of the prepared sensor proved that the material has good electrical conductivity and strong catalytic ability. Under optimal conditions, the proposed sensor showed a wide linear range over 2,4-DCP concentration from 0.05 to 3.0 mu M with detection limit of 6.4 x 10(-8 )mol/L.
