Numerical and experimental investigation on a latent heat thermal storage device featuring flat micro heat pipe arrays with offset strip fins

•Offset strip fins and flat micro heat pipe arrays were used in heat storage.•The equivalent thermal conductivity and specific heat capacity were used in simulation.•The minimum operating temperature difference of the device is 4 ℃.
