Risk Factors Associated with Gaps in Post-Treatment Surveillance for Perinatal Syphilis
American journal of obstetrics and gynecology(2022)
摘要
During 2019, 1,870 cases of congenital syphilis were reported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Diagnosis and treatment of syphilis in mothers and newborns is dependent on post-treatment surveillance via serology for up to 15 months to ensure absence of infection. The objective of this study was to determine demographic, socioeconomic, obstetric and neonatal risk factors associated with gaps in adherence to recommended post-treatment surveillance.
