Anchoring technique to overcome troubleshooting during coronary sinus catheterization

Despite getting experience by physicians and the availability of more effective tools catheter placement in the coronary sinus during LV lead placement may be a significant technical problem. A case of a woman with breast cancer and a heart failure with reduced ejection fraction and left bundle branch block in whom a left ventricular lead placement procedure has been attempted. There was a problem to place a catheter inside the coronary sinus. To overcome troubles anchoring technique was applied to stabilize with a balloon a hydrophilic guide wire 0.035” placed in a cardiac vein.
