摘要
Lipoma are non-epithelial benign tumors consisting of matured adipose tissue. Lipoma accompanied by focal osseous metaplasia are particularly rare in the oral region. We report a case of lipoma with focal osseous metaplasia arising from the buccal region. A 78-year-old female patient presented with the chief complaint of a painless swelling in her right buccal region. Contrast-enhanced CT showed a well-defined mass with a diameter of about 80 mm, including the calcification area, in a region on the skin side. In addition, a contrast-enhanced T1-weighted MRI image showed a high signal intensity with enhancement both in and around the calcification area.
