Dose-effect and concentration-effect analysis

This chapter deals with basic concepts of drug-receptor interactions, the graded dose-effect relationship, the fixed-effect model and the quantal dose-effect relationship, as well as relevant examples of dose-effect in vitro and in vivo. The chapter also includes an expanded discussion of exposure-response relationships and modeling approaches used in the regulatory assessment of drug effects in clinical populations.
