摘要
This[aut]Popa, Maria chapter[aut]Glevitzky, Ioana presents the safetySafety of groundwaterGroundwater in Transylvania, Romania by monitoringMonitoring quality parameters. At first, presents the aspects regarding the importance of groundwaterGroundwater for humankind, the underground water being regarded as a natural, untreated and free source. Drinking waterDrinking water is used in human food that meets a number of physicochemical and microbiological conditions that allow consumption without endangering health. The case study is carried out in a Romanian region (Alba County—Transylvania), the main appreciation indicators of the underground water sources quality being monitored over time. Concentration/pollutionPollution levels were determined by physicochemical and microbiological analyzes as well as specific contaminantsContaminants. The groundwaterGroundwater quality was investigated through an integrated approach to groundwaterGroundwater quality, in line with the Drinking WaterDrinking water StandardsStandards. The methodology used is in line with international requirements. The results obtained and presented in this chapter highlight areas with uncontaminated underground water as well as areas presenting risk of disease for the population. We highlight the main contaminantsContaminants/pollutants present in the studied area, as well as the main solutions for the protection of the population.
