Preparation of acute midbrain slices for patch-clamp recordings v3

Here we describe two different approaches to prepare acute midbrain slices from young adult mice for slice electrophysiology experiments. We also provide general advice for troubleshooting common issues leading to suboptimal slice quality, as well as some suggestions to ensure good maintenance of a patch-clamp rig.
