摘要
The modern definition of successful cancer therapy includes both cure and quality of life (QOL). For prostate cancer, this requires contemporary high-resolution imaging to allow the radiation oncologist to identify the location and extent of prostate tumors, while recognizing the extreme variation in size and morphology of the prostate and organs at risk. In this chapter, we provide an overview of imaging modalities commonly used for prostate cancer imaging, with a focus on multiparametric MRI. We review the role of imaging at consultation, in treatment selection and planning, prediction of QOL outcomes, and post-treatment recurrence detection.
