摘要
Abstract Sa.li.ni.ra'mus. N.L. masc. adj. salinus , salty; L. masc. n. ramus , a branch; N.L. masc. n. Saliniramus , a salt branch. The genus is a member of the family Salinarimonadaceae . Proteobacteria / Alphaproteobacteria / Hyphomicrobiales / Salinarimonadaceae / Saliniramus The genus Saliniramus is home to the solitary species Saliniramus fredricksonii, a halophilic bacterium isolated from a unicyanobacterial consortium derived from a microbial mat inhabiting hypersaline Hot Lake. It is an obligately aerobic and heterotrophic halophile that grows in both NaCl and MgSO 4 brines. It is a moderate thermophile with a growth optimum of 45°C. Cells are Gram‐stain‐negative with a polymorphic cellular morphology of short rods with occasional branching. Cells are monotrichous and motile. The major fatty acids include C 18:1 , C 18:0 , C 16:0 , and C 18:cyc . DNA G + C content (mol%) : 64.57 (genome). Type species : Saliniramus fredricksonii Cole et al. 2018 VP .
