Biomedical sensor

The development of simple biomedical sensors is one of the attractive research topics for the scientists around the world. This chapter discuses on the trend of two simple and popular sensors, which are lateral flow–based and micro/nanoneedle-based sensors for biomedical applications. For the lateral flow–based sensor, it is one of the most popular sensors that have been used worldwide for several decades. This chapter discusses on the nanoparticle-based lateral flow platform especially the use of inorganic- and dye-doped nanoparticles. Considering the micro/nanoneedle platform, which is non/less invasive sensor, the fabrication and application on medical fields is also discussed here.
