Constraints on modeling systems from within systems: the principle of frame relativity

In this paper, we utilize a series of incompleteness theorems to demonstrate a novel set of impossibility results: that a system cannot be completely modeled from within the system. We relate this result, which we call frame relativity, to existing work on inference epistemics. We discuss implications of frame relativity for the social sciences, biological sciences, and physics.
