Geometry and scale property of a gold-silver-bearing vein system associated with an oblique-slip fault zone at Gasado Island, Korea

•Geometrical analyses were performed to express and compare the geometries of the vein-filled fault systems.•Fractal analyses were performed to quantitatively compare the geometries and thickness population of the vein systems.•Vein geometries and fractal dimension values of the vein-filled fault systems are strongly controlled by types of fault damage zone.•Study on the vein-filled fault system can improve understanding of the role of the fault architectures in the fluid flow.
