An Island Partition Method for Distributed Fault Self-recovery

In the recovery process of distribution network after fault isolation, island operation state generated by distributed generation will improve the power supply reliability of distribution network to a certain extent. Therefore, combined with the flexible and fast characteristics of distributed control mode, a distributed island partition method based on stepwise island merging is proposed as a link to take full use of distributed generation in distributed fault self-healing technology. Firstly, the theoretical model of island division is introduced, and the implementation conditions of distributed control are given. Then, a heuristic search rule considering comprehensive recovery value, load recovery cost and load controllability is proposed, and a distributed island partition strategy is proposed based on peer-to-peer communication between smart terminal units (STU). Finally, effectiveness of the proposed distributed island partition method is verified by the PG&E69 nodes system case.
