•Graphene nanofibers doping of PMMA resin improved its physical-chemical bulk properties.•Graphene nanofibers doping of PMMA significantly reduced biofilm formation.•Surface aging drastically deteriorated both graphene-PMMA and PMMA surfaces.•After aging, biofilm formation on graphene PMMA was not promoted.•Graphene nanofibers improved PMMA physical-chemical properties, reducing biofilm formation.
