摘要
•The CuxO/TiO2 coating is non-cytotoxic and has outstanding antibacterial properties against S. aureus.•The formation of the hydroxyapatite and CuO on the worn surface facilitates lubrication during tribocorrosion process.•The sliding process has facilitated the enrichment of Cu on the worn surface, which improves the long-term antibacterial activity of CuxO/TiO2 coatings.
