Inclusion Complexation Behaviors of Favipiravir into Cyclodextrins

This paper describes the inclusion complexation behaviors of anti-viral favipiravir (1) into native and permethylated cyclo-dextrins (CDs) in aqueous media. The formations of inclusion complexes are supported by UV-vis spectra, Job plots, and mass spectral measurements. The association constants between 1 and CDs are systematically estimated by titration experiments.
