Demographic, social, and environmental factors predicting Danish children’s greenspace use

•Half of the Danish 6−15-year-old children use greenspace almost every day.•Child age and geography are the only demographic predictors for greenspace use.•Accessibility to multiple types of greenspace is a strong predictor for greenspace use.•Parental concern and support predict use, but to a lesser extent than accessibility.
