Study on Dynamic Response of Slapper Detonator Transducer under Strong Electromagnetic Pulse Field

The transducer is the core component of the slapper detonator. Its function is to convert the pulsed high current into the energy required for slapper detonator initiation. However, the strong electromagnetic pulse can also excite the pulse in the energy converter, and the large current may cause the abnormal effect of the slapper detonator, resulting in misexplosion or dummy explosion. Based on the strong pulsed electromagnetic field generated by TEM cell, this paper studies the dynamic response of three kinds of energy conversion elements under 50kV / m strong pulsed electromagnetic field. The research shows that the energy conversion element will produce nearly 20 A induced current under 50kV/m strong pulsed electromagnetic field, and the transfer functions of three energy conversion elements under the pulsed electromagnetic field are obtained. This work lays a foundation for the development of safety testing technology of slapper detonators under strong electromagnetic pulse field.
