•Mixed traffic with autonomous vehicles and human-driven vehicles is to be managed.•This study aims to take advantage of the controllable property of AVs’ routing choices to develop a dynamic routing allocation scheme.•Bounded rationality is assumed to be followed by all the travelers, and therefore the best-case BRUE flow pattern is to be achieved.
