•IMPC-Neutron uses Delta tracking and Surface tracking(Ray tracing) algorithm to speed up the neutron transport simulation.•Using Unionized Grid (for preprocessing cross sections’ data) and Hash-based energy lookup algorithm to improve the efficiency of Delta tracking algorithm.•Developed a low memory computing mode to reduce the large memory consumption caused by the use of the Unionized Grid.
