Mapping Disruption Sources in the Power Grid and Implications for Resilience
2022 North American Power Symposium (NAPS)(2022)
摘要
Developing models and metrics addressing resilience is vital to ensure power grid reliability. The goal of this work is to holistically analyze the origin of anomalies and their propagation through the electric grid’s cyber, physical and human domains. To do so, we apply a novel disruption mapping method to the publicly available U.S. Department of Energy DOE-417 Electric Emergency and Disturbance Report, using an excel crosswalk. We find that by differentiating among the disruption sources and means of disruption propagation, patterns in the power grid’s response to different events can be used to quantify resilience.
