Surgical outcomes and sexual function after laparoscopic colon cancer surgery with transvaginal versus conventional specimen extraction: A retrospective propensity score matched cohort study

•The study is designed to explore the surgical outcomes and sexual function of transvaginal specimen extraction for colectomy.•This technique is feasible and safe. It could achieve better cosmetic effect and faster postoperative recovery.•This technique has limited adverse effect on female's sexual function and it could achieve safe oncological outcomes.
