Structural, optical, and electrical characterizations of silver nanowire/single-layer graphene oxide composite film

•Solution-based fabrication of AgNWs/ SLGO composite film as hybrid transparent conducting electrodes.•SLGO provides thermal and excellent environmental stability at room temperature and ambient conditions.•The embedded electrode exhibited high transparency (91 %) and low sheet resistance (11 Ω/sq) at the UV–visible spectrum region at 550 nm.•Hybrid transparent conducting electrodes exhibit good structural and optoelectrical performance.
