Glycosides from Buyang Huanwu Decoction inhibit atherosclerotic inflammation via JAK/STAT signaling pathway

•Glycosides can anti-atherosclerosis, the anti-atherosclerotic effect of glycosides were similar to that of BYHWD, indicating that glycosides are the main active components of BYHWD.•Glycosides alleviate atherosclerotic inflammation in vivo and in vitro, revealing that glycosides can anti-atherosclerosis by inhibiting inflammatory response.•Glycosides down-regulate JAK/STAT signaling pathway alleviate atherosclerotic inflammation in vivo and in vitro (including STAT3 phosphorylation activator), revealing that glycosides have anti-atherosclerotic inflammation via JAK/STAT signaling pathway.
