摘要
Child growth and development can be broadly defined as a typical pattern of changes that occur over time from infancy to adolescence to allow children to understand and interact with the world around them. This growth and development can be viewed in multiple domains including physical growth, motor development, communication, social and emotional development. In each of these domains there is a typical pattern but known variance depending on the child's intrinsic factors as well as the social and cultural environment. This chapter is a broad overview of these domains of child growth and development.
