A method for automated modeling of plasma shape control response in tokamaks

•Control circuitry in tokamaks more complex than series or anti-series connected coils can be modeled automatically.•Current or voltage sensors located anywhere in the control circuit can easily be modeled.•Automated circuit modeling is essential for devices whose circuit topology frequently changes. Examples are DIII-D and designs for new devices.
