摘要

•A series of WOx/Al2O3 catalysts were prepared with a variation of tungsten content.•Physicochemical properties and acid properties of WOx/Al2O3 catalysts were investigated.•Pyrolysis of high density polyethylene (HDPE) was conducted using WOx/Al2O3 catalysts.•Acidity of WOx/Al2O3 was closely related to its catalytic performance.•The conversion and oil yield rose with increasing acidity of WOx/Al2O3 catalysts.
