摘要

•Advanced-stage colorectal cancer incidence related to phased screening implementation was assessed.•All birth cohorts experienced an increase in incidence at 1st invitation to screening.•Short increases were observed at 2nd or 3rd invitation to screening, followed by a decrease.•Observed incidence was lower than expected in all birth cohorts at the end of the study.•Results implicate correlation between screening and decreasing advanced-stage colorectal cancer incidence.
