•Corona viruses may also affect the central nervous system, inducing various neurological problems.•GBS is a rare immune-mediated post-infectious neuropathy typically leading to ascending weakness.•There is association od GBS and SARS-CoV-2 infection.•GBS should be considered as a potential rare but serious complication due to COVID-19.
