摘要
•A high-fat diet coupled with soda consumption reduces intake of food, due to excess calories and satiety effects of both constituents.•These effects reflect in body phenotype as decreased body weight (despite fat accumulation) and lowering of abdominal circumference in male rats.•Dyslipidemia by this diet is characterized by lower high-density lipoprotein, and increased triacylglycerols.•High-fat and carbonated soda intake causes oxidative stress and inflammation.•The dietary combination also increases tumor necrosis factor-α levels in circulation.
