摘要

•RNAi screen targeting 11,000 genes identified regulators of human HSPCs.•MTA1 was identified as a negative regulator of HSPC propagation in vitro.•Knockdown of MTA1 preserves the immature phenotype of human HSPCs in vitro and restricts their engraftment capacity in vivo.•MTA1 is associated with the NuRD complex in HSPCs and mediates H3K27 deacetylation.
