Schiff base covalent organic polymers as electrode material for supercapacitor application

摘要
•Synthesis of two different Schiff base Covalent Organic Polymers (COPs) through polycondensation.•Fabrication of COPs coated nickel foam electrode and their supercapacitor performance are discussed.•COP-2 shows higher areal capacitance value 771 mF/cm2 at 1 mA cm−2 than COP-1 (695 mF/cm2 at 1 mA cm−2).•No substantial loss in cyclic stability after 1000 cycles at 20 mA cm−2.•The COP-2 possess 80.1% cyclic stability and the COP-1 possess 66.5% cyclic stability in the 1000th cycle.
