摘要

•Proposed a robust mapping approach by integrating OBIA and Otsu algorithm.•Mangrove forest in the MNNRs increased during 2016–2020, with a net gain of 4%.•Mangrove forests were mainly converted from tidal flats and aquaculture ponds.•Restoration projects contributed to increases of mangrove forests in the MNNRs.
