Core-shell nanosheets@MIL-101(Fe) heterostructures with enhanced photocatalytic activity promoted by peroxymonosulfate

摘要
•Unique NS@MIL-101(Fe) architectures, composed of amorphous ultrathin NS coating outside the octahedron MIL-101(Fe) cores, have been synthesized in one pot without any surfactant.•The intimate interface between NS and MIL-101(Fe) could effectively transfer the photoelectrons and holes, thus inducing the generation of various radicals and enhancing photocatalytic efficiency on Orange II.•The possible degradation pathway of Orange II was proposed based on the EPR and radical scavenging experiments in the catalyst/PMS/light system.
