Magneto-Plasticity Behavior of Fe-3.2 Wt.%si Single Crystal under Transverse Static Magnetic Field
Journal of materials engineering and performance(2022)
摘要
The magneto-plasticity behavior of Fe-3.2 wt.%Si single crystal along different crystal orientations was experimentally studied under a transverse static magnetic field. Applying a magnetic field resulted in a significant decrease in the yield and tensile strength of Fe-3.2 wt.%Si single crystal, demonstrating a magneto-plasticity effect. This magneto-plasticity effect varied with the crystal orientation, and the most significant decrease in the yield strength and tensile strength was observed along the [110] crystal direction. Transverse static magnetic field reduces the micro-strain around the dislocation line caused by the external stress field, making dislocation easier to move, increases the slip line spacing, and promotes sufficient deformation of the alloy.
