Integral Synergetic FTC for HVAC System

This paper proposes a novel fault-tolerant control (FTC) strategy for Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system subjected by actuator faults. This strategy is designed using an integral synergetic control (ISC) to detect and compensate actuator faults with ensuring total disturbance rejection. The proposed FTC strategy is based on an additive synergetic reconfigurable control law that will detect and compensate the fault effect. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through the simulation of a building with three zones.
